Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi and other browsers built on Chromium, on desktop. Install it from the Chrome Web Store. In Opera, add Opera's free Install Chrome Extensions add-on first. Firefox and Safari aren't supported yet. Your account and the resume editor work in every major browser, desktop or mobile, though the editor is best on a desktop screen.
Not for the browser extension. At this time the JobAim extension only works in Chromium-based desktop browsers. You can still open your profile, settings, resumes and past analyses on the mobile site in any browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.).
Yes, an account is needed to keep track of your historical job analyses, and it gives you access to your resume(s). The extension is logged in automatically in the browser where you signed into your JobAim account.
No, JobAim only tells you how well a job fits and what to change in your resume, so you send fewer, stronger applications.
No. It only runs on job postings and on sites you add yourself. On every other page it does nothing and sends nothing. You can also list sites where it should never run.
No. We don't sell your data, and the vendors that process it for us are held to our policy. Your privacy is important to us and you can read more in our privacy policy. The job sites you use JobAim on often have very different data and privacy policies of their own. The JobAim extension can't block ads or trackers, or stop those sites from selling or sharing your data.
No. Your activity on JobAim is private to you. Employers and recruiters can't see your profile or your job search activity, and we won't share either with them without your explicit consent. However, work computers or internet traffic may be monitored, and the extension (by default) shows on the job pages you visit, so anyone who can see your screen or your traffic could work out that you're looking. We recommend using JobAim on your own personal computer, in your own time. If you do have to use it at work, at least use it in a browser you keep for personal use, and set your profile to "Work" in the extension's settings: it shows only a small dot on the page and stays closed until you open it.
Reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any other questions — we'll reply as soon as we can.
